Mall of Muscat and the Oman Aquarium

Mall of Muscat is in Al Mabela, in the Seeb area of west Muscat. Its biggest attraction is the Oman Aquarium, which opened in April 2019 as one of the largest aquariums in the Middle East.

The Oman Aquarium

The aquarium occupies thousands of square metres on the mall's upper level. It opened with around 12,000 marine animals, including species from Omani waters, with plans to grow further.

Shops, a cinema, family entertainment and restaurants, with a built-up area of nearly 200,000 square metres.

Getting there

The mall is near the Muscat Expressway in Mabela, close to Sultan Haitham City and Al Mouj.

Good to know

Store lists, opening hours and attractions change; check the mall's own website before a special trip. Most malls open from about 10am to 10pm, later at weekends, with shorter hours on Friday mornings.
