2026-10-19
Duqm Airport (DQM) serves the town and Special Economic Zone of Duqm on the Arabian Sea coast. It is a domestic airport used mainly by engineers, contractors, investors and officials travelling between Muscat and the zone, and handled around 61,000 passengers in 2025.
Flights
Domestic flights link Duqm with Muscat in about an hour and a quarter, saving a road journey of around six hours. Schedules are limited, so book early, especially at the start and end of the working week.
The airport
The terminal is modern and compact, built to support the growth of the economic zone, with room to expand as Duqm develops.

Getting around
Taxis and company transport serve the town, hotels, port and industrial areas. Car hire is the best way to explore the coast and the Rock Garden.
Tips
- Many people working in Duqm fly in on Sunday and back on Thursday; flights are busiest then.
- Hotels near the zone fill up with business travellers; book early.
