Sohar University, founded in 2001, is a private university in Sohar, the main city of North Al Batinah and the centre of Oman's heavy industry around Sohar Port and Freezone.

Location

Sohar is about two hours from Muscat on the Batinah Expressway. The future Hafeet Rail line will connect it with Abu Dhabi.
