Relocation is not one standard route. Identify whether your purpose is work, family or investment and the permission that matches it before buying flights or property. This is a planning checklist, not a visa or residency guarantee.
Guide reviewed: 24 October 2026Distinguish a visit from residence and work permission. The Foreign Ministry publishes short-visit conditions and conversion limits. Check your nationality and purpose through official sources; use the separate Golden Residency guide for investment planning.
The official work-visa service explains the employer request and Ministry of Labour licence. Verify employer, occupation, contract and approvals before financial commitments. Obtain the current document checklist from the service; a home or visit visa does not substitute for work permission.
Separate travel, initial accommodation, deposits and furnishing from monthly rent, utilities, food, school, insurance and transport. Keep a contingency for delayed income and price your own household and neighbourhood choices.
Check identity validity, required translations or attestations, education and health records and dependant requirements before moving. Consider school, healthcare, work and travel access when choosing housing, and store document copies securely.
Once permissions are clear, plan initial accommodation, visit neighbourhoods and compare renting with buying. Arrange contracts, services, insurance and transport according to your actual residence status and documents. Rental and car guides in this collection are informational only.
