Check commuting, schools, services, noise and parking at different times. Test cooling, leaks, moisture, hot water, appliances and connectivity, and photograph the initial condition.
Record term, rent, payment method, deposit, maintenance and exit or renewal terms. Muscat provides an official lease-documentation service; check the requirements and charges with the authority responsible for the property’s location.
Sign an inventory, key list and meter readings. Agree how faults are reported and addressed. Check notice, utility settlement, final inspection and deposit return against the contract before leaving.
